Last night, something truly special happened. The Copper Garden was honored with the New Business of the Year award by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. That means enough folks in our town took the time to vote for us, to recognize what we’ve built here in just a short time. It’s humbling.
As I stood there, listening to my husband give an incredibly touching speech, a few things he said really stuck with me—because they are the absolute truth.
It’s like Garen said in his speech; The Copper Garden isn’t just about flowers, gifts, or classes. It’s about people. This place wouldn’t exist without the amazing team that makes every arrangement, greets every customer, and puts heart into everything they do. It also wouldn’t exist without the incredible community of Hamilton, which has embraced us, cheered us on, and made us feel like what we’re doing matters.
Countless hours have gone into making this dream a reality—long days, late nights, and plenty of moments where we wondered if we were crazy for taking this on. But through it all, we’ve had fun. We’ve brought unique ideas to life, shared so many laughs, and built something that, we hope, adds joy to people’s lives.
And last night, I was overwhelmed with gratitude not just for this award, but for the friends and family who came out to celebrate with me. I know how busy Monday nights are, how much everyone has on their plates, and yet you still showed up. You all made me feel more loved than I can ever deserve, and that means the world to me.
So today, we just want to say thank you. Thank you to our team for your talent, hard work, and dedication. Thank you to our customers who show up, shop small, and support local. Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce for this recognition. And thank you, Hamilton, for making The Copper Garden feel like home. We see a bright future for not only our store but this incredible community to grow as we work together as one United community who loves Hamilton!
We’re just getting started. Check us out at www.coppergardenfloral.com, Instagram, and Facebook to keep up with what we're up to.
Thanks everyone- Liz
