A Personal Thank You From Liz- One Week ‘Til Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is one week from today, and I wanted to take a moment to share something a little more personal.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to have many mothers in my life — women who have shaped me, supported me, and showed up in ways big and small over the years.

My own mom has been a constant teacher, a fierce protector, and a nurturer in every sense of the word. She’s also one of the most intelligent businesswomen I know. Her brain never stops — always thinking ahead, solving problems, and quietly taking care of people without ever expecting credit.

She’s wildly stylish, too… which evidently skips a generation, because I most definitely did not inherit that part. But I did get her work ethic, her deep love for family, her willingness to show up even when it’s hard, and her belief in doing the right thing — even when no one’s watching.

Over the years, I’ve also been blessed with a circle of “bonus moms.”

These amazing women have shown up with wine, arts and crafts, laughs, hugs, and kind words when things got tough. These ladies know who they are if they’re reading this — and I’m constantly thankful to you.

I’m also lucky to have a wonderful mother-in-law who has been part of that circle of support — she raised the man of my dreams and is a constant ray of sunshine in our family.

At Big Red Brand and The Copper Garden, we’re surrounded every day by strong women doing incredible things — moms, stepmoms, grandmas, mentors, caretakers. They’re running businesses, raising families, keeping communities together, and somehow making it all look effortless (even when we know it’s not).

So to all the women holding it down in a million ways — I see you. I appreciate you. And I wouldn’t be here without you.
